The cycle of figuring our your passion and realizing it’s a perpetual circle of discontentment:
Step 1: Land a job. Learn it. Excel in it. Be bored of it.
Step 2. Land a new job. Learn it. Excel in it. Be bored of it.
Step 3. Stop working. Go crazy. Search job listings.
Step 4. Find another job. Land it. Learn it. Excel in it. Be bored of it.
Step 5. Develop a gambling problem — to support your dream job: not working but being able to afford it.
Step 6. Decide you are serious about figuring out your passion. Scrunch up your face then put your thumb and index finger on your chin. Dramatic poses help the thought process (so much so, you still don’t know one tangible thing you love that you can make a career out of).
Step 7. Have a EUREKA moment. You love –insert blank–.
Step 8. Dive right in and swear to do –insert blank– during all of your free time!
Step 9. Realize you have no energy during your free time because it is EXHAUSTING to have an unfulfilling job.
Step 10. Check bank statements. Cry in your job’s janitorial closet.
Repeat Step 1 through 10. When you’ve finally had enough – skip straight to Step 10 and repeat THAT over and over again.
